I'm an equine veterinarian in the heart of the BluegrassState. I'm also an avid photographer. The combination of the two provides me with an incredible opportunity to capture the images that portray the joys of my profession. The prints here offered are some of those images. I hope these photographs capture your imagination and visually take you to the world I'm grateful to enjoy.
I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I attended Cornell University where I earned both my Bachelor of Science degree in 1992 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1995. After my education, I moved to Lexington, Kentucky, where I currently work as an ambulatory veterinarian concentrating in equine reproductive and neonatal medicine and equine radiology.
I credit my passion for photography to my parents. Dad made his Nikon available for experimentation. Mom allowed me to spend innumerable hours in the kitchen's bathroom make-shift darkroom.
My professional veterinary work with broodmares and foals, my travels with my daughter, and my interest in photography give me the opportunity to archive the images that capture my imagination.
